INAUGURATION DAY A GREAT SUCCESS (March 30, 2008)
Despite driving rain and very strong winds 34 teams took part in the four person Inauguration Cup. The clubhouse was full of stories and incidents on how the weather had made it a very hard competition and how the greenkeepers had set the course up quite hard.
The prizegiving in the evening was conducted by Mr Tony Whiteman(Outgoing Club Captain) and Mr Mark Stocks (Incoming Club Captain) it was very well attended and the medals for the past six months competitions were handed out prior to the main Inauguration Day Winners presentation.
Mr Geoff Stone (Incoming Members Director) and Mr Jim Gallant (President/Director) were in attendance to meet anyone who had any questions regarding the coming year and to thank the past committee members who attended for their help in the past year.
The evening was completed with a disco in the main conservatory and a finger buffet was provided by Warren & Becky our new restaurant management team. Click here to return to the News page
