We have an active and friendly section that caters for ladies interested in competition play and also fo those
who prefer to play social golf.
Our challenging designed course is set in beautiful parkland. We are lucky to be able to play all year round on
amazing greens and use very few winter mats.
Ladies generally meet on a Tuesday which is the primary day for our competitions. There are also opportunities to play in a number of
major club events on Saturdays during the main season and also with the Seniors on a Wednesday in mixed competitions a couple of times per month.
Our diverse competition programme includes Monthly Medals and Stablefords, Pairs and Singles knockout events,
Friendly fixtures against local clubs, Mixed events and External competitions hosted by England Golf, County Golf or
external golf-sponsoring organisations.
Our season is rounded off with a Ladies Presentation Day in early November.
Competitions also continue through the winter months, but in a much more social manner and with more focus on 9 hole events.
Even the most hardy and dedicated golfers appreciate an earlier than usual return to a warm and comfortable clubhouse for a hot drink and a snack.
New members are always made welcome by the Ladies Section regardless of whether you are a novice golfer who has yet to acquire a handicap,
or someone looking to play an occasional social round or an experienced golfer keen on competitions.
Help is always available from the Committee and Ladies Representatives at our "welcome events" and through
regular golfing and social contact at the club.
We are supporters and signatories to the Women in Golf Charter - please see the link below for more information.
